For more than seven decades, the Worcester Youth Orchestras (WYO) have been providing Central Massachusetts with a unique musical experience. Founded in 1947 by Harry Levenson, WYO has been dedicated to helping young musicians develop their skills, foster friendships, and learn the value of teamwork, self-discipline, and diligence. With a mission to help the greater Worcester community through accessible live musical performances and cultural enrichment, WYO continues to be a leader in the area’s musical landscape. From its founding in 1947, the Worcester Youth Orchestras (WYO) has been a beacon of hope for young musicians in Central Massachusetts. Led by the vision of Harry Levenson, WYO has provided an enjoyable, educational experience to help young people develop their skills and build life-long relationships. But it is not just the young musicians that benefit from WYO; it has also been providing the greater Worcester community with cultural enrichment through accessible live musical performances. Welcome to Ritmos Academy! Since 2002, we have been dedicated to preserving Latin American culture through dance in the New England area. Our dancers range in ages from 4-20 and learn folkloric and modern styles from Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Colombia, and Cuba. Our first location was 344 Chandler Street in Worcester, MA, and was founded by Hilda Ramirez. We are proud to have Masielle Paulino take on the mission in 2011 and to relocate to 70 Webster St. in 2015. Our growing family of Ritmos continues to educate others about Latino history while providing affordable dance instruction and performance opportunities in a family-oriented atmosphere. The Gigueres family has been a part of the community since 1973. Founded by Joanne Giguere, the business quickly became one of the first gymnastics training schools in the area, with a top quality dance program run by Joan Sherry. Over the years, the business grew, with successful athletes gaining national recognition. In 1987, the business was taken over by Joanne’s son David and his business partner Paul McCarthy. They saw an opportunity to expand the business and add a wider based program for area youth, and this led to the addition of Discovery School House. Today, Gigueres is a premier multi functional childrens sport and childcare facility, offering twelve unique programs for children and their families.

Since 1976, PZ Dance Academy (PZDA) has been providing a quality dance education in an encouraging and positive environment. Over the years, the studio has earned a reputation for helping its dancers develop to their fullest potential. With qualified instructors and a variety of dance styles offered, PZDA is the ideal place for children of all ages and skill levels to pursue their passion. This inspiring initiative, Main IDEA, was founded by a group of passionate artists, musicians, and dancers who dreamt of creating a more open and accessible arts community in Worcester. The workshops ran in the summer of 2011, and gave kids an opportunity to explore their creative side in a safe and supportive environment. After the week of creative exploration, the kids were able to share their artwork in a showcase with family, friends, and community members. Main IDEA is a fantastic example of how creativity can bring people together and help foster a more open and accessible arts community.

At Energy Athletics, we provide a wide range of sports training and development for athletes of all ages and levels. We have a variety of specialized classes like pitching, hitting, and fielding, as well as team training and clinics. Our facility also offers multi-sport training, with expert coaches in lacrosse, basketball, and soccer, so athletes have the opportunity to develop their skills in multiple sports. At our early child-care and education centers, we believe in the importance of providing quality care and education for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school-age children. Founded in 2002, we have locations in Hubbardston, Leominster, Barre, Worcester, Fitchburg, and Gardner open Monday through Friday, with hours of operation varying by location. We offer both full-time and part-time care and maintain an open-door policy for all families. Our teachers are certified annually in CPR/First Aid and undergo criminal records, sex offender records and Department of Children and Families background checks. They also promote hands-on and teacher-guided learning and continue their education annually.
