Kelsey Kids Playshops are held in conjunction with Youth Stages under the supervision of its founder, Jean Prall Rosolino. Ms. Rosolino, who received her MA in Educational Theatre from NYU, founded Youth Stages in 1996 to provide high quality participatory drama and theatre programs to area youth. From 1987-1995 she was the Education Director of Creative Theatre. Jean also conducts drama classes for Princeton Day School, Montgomery Recreation Department, and she teaches four classes for children with disabilities for VSA New Jersey. In addition to teaching, Jean tours three Youth Stages shows: The Three Bears, The Elves and the Shoemaker, and Stubby the Elephant. She has performed on the Kelsey stage as The Woman in Death of a Salesman, Dora Strang in Equus, Rabbit in Winnie the Pooh, Charlotte in Charlotte's Web, and Bella in Lost in Yonkers. In 2014, she was in McCarter Theatre's production of The Marriage of Figaro. Her directing credits include innumerable class presentations, Our Town for VSA New Jersey, and the Youth Stages touring productions of Little Red Riding Hood, Two Marys, Five Jacks and One Very Big Shoe, Genies, Lamps and Dreams: Tales of the Arabian Nights, and Aesop and the Bully: A Fable for Our Times.
