In the sun-scorched, tumbleweed-toting state of Texas, way down south where the cowboys roam and the armadillos play, there’s a tribe of kids who've swapped their cowboy hats for laser tag helmets. They are known as the Lazer Wranglers, exchanging lassos for high-tech gear in a quest to become the supreme laser tag champions of the Lone Star State. Leading this rowdy group is a cool, sunglasses-wearing, nacho-loving chameleon named Chip. Now, you might be thinking: a chameleon? In Texas? But rest assured, Chip is no stranger to the Texas heat. In fact, he changes color faster than a Prairie dog can dig a hole when the sun gets too fiery. Chip, with his chameleon stealth and quick-as-a-whip tail, makes a formidable laser tag team leader. His skin flashes neon colors as he strategizes, communicates, and darts around the laser tag arena. His favorite move? The "Texas Tornado Spin," a whirlwind maneuver that leaves his opponents disoriented and drenched in imaginary laser smoke. The Lazer Wranglers, under Chip's guidance, have learned to embrace the wild, unpredictable spirit of Texas. They maneuver around cacti with the agility of jackrabbits, dodge incoming lasers with the nimbleness of roadrunners, and, when the going gets tough, they hunker down and display the unyielding resilience of a Texas Longhorn. So, if you ever find yourself in the heart of Texas, keep an ear out for the sound of playful laughter echoing through the canyons, and the soft hum of laser guns in the distance. And remember, in Texas, even the chameleons wear sunglasses.

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
