Don't let the funny hat and the mismatched socks fool you, this kid can shimmy, shake and skate like no other. Fred is never without his trusty sidekick, Puck, a feisty little snowman who serves as their team mascot. Puck is known to pull pranks that cause a hilarious ruckus, like replacing hockey pucks with cookies, or turning the Zamboni into a giant snow-cone machine. In Maine, hockey is more than just a game. It's a playful dance on ice, a snowy symphony of laughter and camaraderie. At Camp Takajo, we maintain a traditional camp experience that is focused on teaching and reinforcing the twelve Arch Ideals. These ideals are at the center of camp life and serve as a guide for our campers and staff members. Our goal is to provide a program that promotes the development of character and personal growth in a safe and positive environment. The 12 Arch Ideals are integral to the Camp Takajo experience. These ideals form the foundation of our camp and are the cornerstone of our program. They are emulated by our staff and embraced by our campers. The ideals are reinforced throughout camp in both formal and informal settings, from educational assemblies and campfires to daily interactions. They provide the guiding principles for all of our campers and staff, setting the tone for a positive and meaningful summer experience.
