Parents can rest assured knowing that when they entrust their children to us, they will be in an environment where Judaism is embraced and celebrated. Our campers spend their days living with a super-star staff that acts as role models, living Jewish values-not just teaching them. We provide a complete immersion that allows children to see the world through a Jewish lens, giving them a fuller appreciation of the richness of Judaism and strengthening their Jewish identities along the way. Campers at our camp enjoy activities and programs that foster life-long friendships and cultivate values such as Rachamim (compassion), Kavod (honor and respect), Derech Eretz (civility), G’milut Chasadim (kindness), and Tikkun Olam (repairing our world). In addition to these values, campers also learn communication, collaboration, creativity, grit and empathy – the predictors of success in camp, school and beyond. As campers leave at summer’s end, they take these values and skills with them, ensuring that their experience at our camp has been meaningful and impactful.

With the sole intent of establishing a nondenominational day care facility that would serve as an outreach program to the community, St. Paul’s Children’s Center was formally founded in 1972, by a group of dedicated parishioners who were determined to succeed. Such a daunting task required years of perseverance and a commitment to a vision of a day care facility that would serve the needs of the community at large. Under the leadership of Mrs. Curtis R. (Patricia) Buttenheim, the Center officially opened its doors in June of 1972. The subsequent success of the venture inspired the Rector, Dr. G. Douglas Krumbhaar, to remark that “the day care center is off to a rousing start and seems to be filling a void in our community.” The next few years proved crucial to the center’s survival. While the financial struggle was not easy; complying with new state mandates and building codes, the revamping of programs, and the constant re-scheduling of staff to meet the demands of ever-changing lifestyles of families presented even greater challenges.
