The Home for Little Wanderers has a long history of providing essential services to the community, starting as an orphanage in 1799. Today, they offer over 25 programs that help families and children in need. These programs include behavioral and mental health services, therapeutic residential care, family treatment and support, foster care and adoption, special education and programs for older youth aging out of the system. These services all come from the combination of five child welfare organizations: Boston Children’s Services, The New England Home for Little Wanderers, Parents’ and Children’s Services, Charles River Health Management and Wediko Children’s Services. For over two centuries, The Home for Little Wanderers has been a vital part of the community, providing help and support to those in need.

We also strive to provide a healthy atmosphere for our campers, offering nutritious snacks and drinks and encouraging physical activity. At the Y, we prioritize the learning and development of our campers. Through interactive activities and games, we teach children how to form collaborative relationships and become part of a team.
