Among the group, there was always one who stood out - a boy with the energy of ten jumping frogs, known as Benny “the Cheese Head.” Benny was a force to reckon with. He could run like a mischievous deer, catch a ball like a swooping bald eagle, and when it came to strategy, his mind was as sharp as a block of aged cheddar. The games were filled with laughter, shouts of joy, and the occasional flying cheese curds, as the kids played their hearts out, inspired by Bucky and Benny. From massive fossilized dinosaur pieces to an entire section dedicated to Alice in Wonderland, and a fantastic collection of comic book art, there's plenty to ignite their imagination. The studio is well-equipped with all the necessary art supplies, spacious tables, and abundant natural light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. We understand that comfort is essential for both kids and parents. That is why we've ensured that our facilities include a separate waiting area for parents, offering a space for you to relax while your child is busy exploring their creativity. For added convenience, there are also two restrooms on the premises and a picturesque outdoor sitting area where you can soak up the serene surroundings.
In the early 1900s, a group of industrialists and businessmen in the Racine, Wisconsin community saw the potential of a golf course as a great recreational opportunity for the city. They quickly acquired the property needed and hired Thomas Bendelow to design a nine-hole course. With the success of the original course, members soon wanted to expand and the Idlewild Land Company was formed in 1909 to purchase the Charles Wustum Farm, making way for the larger and more modern course. The Idlewild Land Company purchased the property and the Racine Country Club was developed. The members built six summer cottages and a shanty to serve as the clubhouse. The new course was much more exacting than the original and was embraced by the community as a great recreational opportunity. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of the members of the community, RCC has been a cherished local landmark for over a century.
