Beneath the great, sprawling expanse of the Texas sky, where the sun blazes like a mighty cowboy's campfire and the breeze whispers tales of the old west, a gang of plucky Texan kids gather. They’re not here to wrangle cattle or hunt for gold. Oh no, they’ve got a much more thrilling adventure in mind. They’re about to tackle the towering rope course at 'Rusty Rattlesnake's Rambunctious Rodeo', the wildest, wobbliest, most wowie-zowie rope course in the whole Lone Star State. 

First, there's Billy "The Bandit" Boots, a 10-year-old with a wild mop of hair as untamed as a bucking bronco. He’s as fearless as a rattlesnake in a square dance. Then comes Tex "Tornado" Tucker, on a whirlwind quest to conquer every rope, every net, and every zip-line that dares cross his path. Tagging along is Lil' Lasso Lucy, the youngest of the bunch, but with a heart as mighty as a longhorn steer. 

Dusty trails of laughter follow them as they climb higher and higher, navigating through rickety bridges and swinging ropes, their excitement echoing off the vast plains of Texas. They clamber with the tenacity of tumbleweeds in a windstorm, eyes gleaming with determination and wild Texas grit. 

Suddenly, there's a rustle, a chuckle, a tumble of cowboy boots. It’s their imaginary friend, Rusty Rattlesnake himself, sliding down a zip-line with a wild whoop! He's as slippery as a greased piglet on fair day, and twice as mischievous. 

"Y'all better hold on to your cowboy hats!" Rusty hoots, his laughter spinning into the hot Texas air. 

And with that, the adventure continues, as the sun dips low over the Texans' daring rope course escapade under the watchful eyes of their sneaky snake pal.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Swift Nature Camp an overnight camp for boys and girls ages 6-15 located in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin. 

 I’m Lonnie, the Camp Director, and I’m thrilled to share what makes SNC such a special place for kids and families alike. For nearly 30 years, our mission has been to create an environment where children can grow, discover, and make lifelong memories. Here at camp, we focus on friendship, personal development, and a deep connection to nature—all in a fun, supportive, and adventurous setting. All this without cell phones
One of the things that sets Swift Nature Camp apart is our focus on fostering independence and confidence. Whether it’s trying a new activity like canoeing, taking on a leadership role in a group project, or simply navigating life away from home, camp provides endless opportunities for personal growth. We celebrate each camper’s unique personality and encourage them to step outside their comfort zone in a safe and nurturing way. Seeing kids gain new skills and pride in their accomplishments is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

For our youngest campers, Discovery Camp is an especially magical experience. Designed only for first-time campers ages 6-12, this shorter program gives kids a chance to experience the joys of camp life in a way that’s just right for them. It’s amazing to watch these kids try new things—from learning about the natural world to singing campfire songs—and leave camp with big smiles and even bigger stories to tell. Discovery Camp is often the beginning of a long and cherished relationship with SNC, and we’re so proud to see those first-time campers grow into confident and capable young people.

Another cornerstone of Swift Nature Camp is our connection to the environment. We believe that nature isn’t just a backdrop for camp; it’s a teacher, a playground, and a source of endless wonder. Through hands-on activities like pond studies, wildlife observation, and outdoor adventures, campers develop an appreciation for the natural world that stays with them long after camp ends. The Camp Zoo is always a favorite, campers can even adopt a pet while at camp.Our goal is to inspire kids to become curious, mindful stewards of the environment.

At Swift Nature Camp, there’s never a dull day! With hundreds of land and water activities, campers are always engaged and excited. On land, some favorites include the Lego Cabin, Arts & Crafts, Archery, and exploring the Nature Center. On the water, campers learn Canoeing, Fishing, and Swimming, but the absolute favorites are Tubing behind the boat and jumping off the Water Trampoline. Never is there a dull day because every day is packed with fun, adventure, and opportunities to try something new.
Of course, none of this would be possible without the amazing friendships that form here. SNC is a place where kids truly feel like they belong. Campers and counselors alike bring warmth, kindness, and enthusiasm to everything we do, creating a strong sense of community. Whether it’s cheering each other on during a game, collaborating on a creative project, or sharing laughs around the campfire, the bonds formed at Swift Nature Camp are something truly special.

Summer camp is not just a vacation spot, it's a discovery zone where young explorers can enjoy the beauty of nature, take on exciting and unfamiliar recreational activities, and learn the value of independence away from their home comfort. Beyond these, summer camp also offers a platform for campers to learn the essential skills of teamwork, form new friendships, and engage in a variety of other fun and educational activities.

When it comes to Girl Scout Camp, it's a blend of traditional camp activities and unique Girl Scout customs. Campers here have the opportunity to engage in an array of classic activities such as arts and crafts, archery, swimming, and cozying up around campfires. In addition to these, the camp also upholds Girl Scout traditions, allowing campers to immerse themselves in fun camp songs and games that are exclusive to Girl Scouts.

Regardless of whether campers choose to attend camp on a daily basis or decide to spend an entire week away from home, they are provided with opportunities to explore, establish connections, and take thoughtful actions on issues and matters that are significant to them. Since 1947, we have been offering a unique residential camping experience for individuals with disabilities. At Camp Summit, we focus on what our campers can do, rather than what they can't. We offer a variety of traditional camp activities, all of which are adapted to each individual's needs and abilities. Our facilities are completely barrier-free, and our staff is not only well-trained, but also deeply caring. Campers are grouped by age, allowing them to build friendships within their peer groups, all while having a great time and embarking on new adventures.

Situated on a beautiful 460-acre plot in Paradise, Texas, just north of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, Camp Summit is the ideal location for a safe and fun camping experience. We are proud to be accredited by the American Camp Association and licensed as a Youth Camp in the State of Texas. Our campers may have physical challenges, developmental delays, dual-sensory impairments, or multiple disabilities. However, we welcome all campers, regardless of the severity of their disabilities, as long as we can medically meet their needs.

We fully understand the concerns you may have about your child's safety and well-being, which is why we have an on-site medical staff and up-to-date nursing facilities. Welcome to Heart O' the Hills, a distinctive sanctuary brimming with the delights and customs of a traditional summer camp experience. This private girls' summer camp caters to young ladies aged 6-16 and is the pride and joy of the Ragsdale family who own and operate it with absolute dedication. We warmly extend an invitation to you to become part of this extraordinary environment, abundant with merriment, education, and the enchanting essence of youth-filled summers.

At Heart O' the Hills, we have meticulously designed our program with an emphasis on fostering personal growth and character development. Our mission is to empower girls with self-confidence, promote teamwork, and nurture leadership skills. Moreover, we strive to champion individuality, motivation, and resilience. We are more than just a summer camp; we are a nurturing community, dedicated to encouraging personal growth and development.

Our camp offers diverse 2- and 4-week overnight sessions, packed with over 50 instructional activities. We seamlessly blend traditional camp activities with unique ones, from English and western horseback riding, Red Cross swimming lessons, a variety of team and individual sports, to archery, riflery, tennis, cooking, fencing, rock climbing, video production, and wilderness survival. The Camp Fire Camp El Tesoro, established in 1934, has been a welcoming haven for generations of campers, with its iconic swinging bridge being a memorable landmark for many.

El Tesoro, which translates to "The Treasure" in Spanish, is a 223-acre sanctuary nestled between Fall Creek and the Brazos River in Granbury, Texas. Our camp offers a breathtaking panorama of the serene river and the vast open spaces of the blackland prairie. Our natural terrain and indigenous landscape offer our visitors a much-needed respite from the hustle and bustle of the modern world. This idyllic oasis currently hosts co-ed overnight campers, day campers, grief campers, teachers, students keen on learning about nature, and groups seeking to foster connection and indulge in outdoor adventures.

In 2010, Camp Fire First Texas launched a Capital Campaign aimed at renovating and upgrading the facilities at Camp El Tesoro. This initiative is essential to ensure that the enchanting spirit of the camp continues to be enjoyed by future generations. We're committed to preserving and enhancing the magic of Camp El Tesoro, enriching the lives of campers for many years to come.

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association.

Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. Camp Huawni is a coed summer camp located on 600+ acres in the pristine Piney Woods of East Texas. We are truly off the beaten path with miles of hiking trails, abundant forests, and our own private waterfront. When our campers are unplugged from their phones and immersed in nature, their friendships and creativity thrive.

Camp Huawni is a traditional, throwback summer camp for boys and girls. We believe that camp works best when we have simple fun, are outdoors a lot, experience meaningful traditions and ceremonies, and develop authentic friendships.
