Perhaps the most fascinating of these young sharpshooters is a freckle-faced firecracker named Tex McTrigger. Tex, with his coonskin cap and cowboy boots, could hit a bumblebee's backside with a cork gun from 50 yards away. It was rumored that he was born in the saddle, with a toy rifle in one hand and a Texas-shaped pancake in the other. This fun-loving, rootin'-tootin' riflery enthusiast was as friendly as a prairie dog and as humorous as a coyote's howl on a moonlit night. His laughter could fill a room quicker than a herd of longhorns charging through a barn door. His favorite joke? "Why don't we play hide and seek? You go hide and I'll count from 1 to 1,000! We understand that comfort is essential for both kids and parents. That is why we've ensured that our facilities include a separate waiting area for parents, offering a space for you to relax while your child is busy exploring their creativity. For added convenience, there are also two restrooms on the premises and a picturesque outdoor sitting area where you can soak up the serene surroundings.

Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
