He would encourage the kids to not just draw what they see but also what they could imagine. He was as imaginative as a wizard, dreaming up wild scenarios where squirrels rode on giant butterflies, or where the Atlantic Ocean turned into a giant bowl of blueberry jelly. Every day with Sketchy Sam was a new adventure. The kids of South Carolina came alive with creativity, their pencils dancing across the pages, creating masterpieces that would make even the Mona Lisa jealously blush.
