South Carolina, or as our cool, imaginary, amphibian friend, Splashy the Salamander likes to call it, "Water World," sparkles in the sunlight, boasting some of the most magical water bodies. Splashy, wearing his neon snorkel and his favorite polka-dotted swim fins, loves exploring the state's stunning coastline, mighty rivers, serene lakes, and the enchanting marshes where he often plays hide and seek with his turtle buddies. The children of South Carolina, Splashy's marvelous band of Aquanauts, are the real heroes of this water-ridden wonderland. They're not your typical land-loving kids; oh no, these little explorers have fins for feet and gills for lungs! They dive into the enchanting blue depths of the Atlantic Ocean, surf the rolling waves, paddle down the winding rivers, and even race speedy sailboats on the vast lakes. Laughing and splashing, they transform the water bodies into vibrant playgrounds. It's not all fun and games, as dodging the shy starfish in the tidal pools or chasing the elusive minnows in the creeks might seem like a mission straight out of a secret aquatic agent's handbook! And let's not forget the epic "Capture the Seashell" matches held at Myrtle Beach. It's the Aquanauts' favorite game, and Splashy often plays the referee, although he can be a real "salamander-slander," declaring a false start if he doesn't get the first slice of the seaweed pizza! From the breaking dawn until the setting sun, the sounds of joyous laughter echo across South Carolina, as these water-loving kids and Splashy the Salamander create ripples of fun, turning the state into their very own, spectacular "Water World."

What began in a humble New York City apartment with just a single student, Spark, has since blossomed into an enriching program impacting thousands of children. Our services extend beyond the standard after school and weekend classes to include holiday and summer camps, birthday parties, portfolio preparation, private classes, and custom pods. We also welcome homeschool groups and are thrilled to announce the recent addition of a forest school program to our repertoire. You can find Spark on-site in various schools and at our main studio located in the Upper West Side. But we're not stopping there - we're also planning to expand to the Upper East Side and Brooklyn. For our families in Pennsylvania, we run the program from our family studio there. And if you're not in close proximity to any of our locations, don't worry. We offer in-home instruction and virtual options to ensure that Spark can reach you, no matter where you are. Canoeing for Kids is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing recreational and educational experiences for disadvantaged children. Our primary goal is to provide free canoeing and kayaking trips for children from underserved communities. By taking part in these activities, children are able to build teamwork, self-reliance, and a sense of accomplishment while having fun and learning to appreciate nature. We offer our services to children's homes, camps for unhealthy, physically or mentally challenged children, and other qualifying groups. We customize the trips to fit the needs and skills of each group, allowing everyone to get the most out of the experience. Over the years, we have been able to provide this service to over 1,000 children per season.
