He can chop a board in half with just his little finger and his side-splitting jokes are legendary across the state. These Karate Kids don't just toss around punches and kicks like they're on sale at the local grocery store. Oh no! They balance their rigorous training with epic pizza parties, epic beach days, and yes, even epic gardening (because they are from the Garden State after all!). They have a knack for turning every karate lesson into a comedy show. Let's just say their karate instructor, Mr. Chop Chop, has learned the hard way that sometimes a laugh can pack a harder punch than a karate chop. In New Jersey, the kids are tougher than the turnpike, funnier than a comedy club, and cooler than a Jersey freeze pop on a hot summer day. Between the karate and the laughter, these kids are learning to be kind, brave, and just a little bit silly. Nestled in 178 acres of lush woodland is a serene escape from the city, a place fondly known as Camp Swamp. This overnight Christian camp, located just two hours east of bustling Atlanta, has been serving as a peaceful retreat since 1992. We like to think of it as our own "little slice of heaven," offering a respite from the daily hustle and bustle, and inviting people to reconnect with nature and their spirituality. Our primary offering is a week-long summer camp, but we've expanded over the years to include more than just summer fun. As part of our mission to support families and churches, we now also host three family camps throughout the year, as well as four parent/child retreats. These events offer a chance for families to bond, parents to connect with their children, and individuals to grow in their faith. Moreover, our facilities are not exclusive to our organized events. Camp Swamp also offers rentals to schools, churches, universities, sports teams, and even business groups. Master Brian Moragne (aka Contra-Mestre Graveto) is the Owner and Headmaster of the Freestyle Martial Arts Academies. He has taught Martial Arts for over 30 years and has developed a long-standing reputation for high standards in quality instruction. He also has a positive impact in his local South Jersey Community and is most proud of his achievements developing students. His students have awesome attitudes as well as superior levels of proficiency. When he is not teaching, he is traveling throughout the USA and the world giving lectures on the martial arts, bully prevention, or women's self-defense seminars all while advocating for peace and harmony.
