They showed newly arriving English settlers how to grow corn, beans, and squash, as well as to gather cranberries. The tribes moved seasonally between established hunting, fishing, and growing/gathering sites. Today, students of all ages have the chance to learn about nutrition and the life cycle of plants and animals through field trips and summer work. People of all abilities can participate in meaningful work and contribute to their community.
