For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
At Happy Day Preschool, we understand the importance of helping children develop in all areas of their lives. Our program focuses on encouraging children to grow intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically. Each day consists of activities designed to promote the total development of the child, including arts and crafts, music, rhythm work, numbers, and colors. Teacher-guided activities are balanced with plenty of group play, while snack time and story time offer the opportunity for nourishment and relaxation. Nutritious snacks are provided by the school. We offer our program on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 8:30 am-11 am, and Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons from 11:30 am-2 pm. Our teachers and staff recognize the need to build each child’s self-esteem and self-confidence through quality interaction and by providing gentle guidance of age-appropriate play, exploration of self-selected activities and discovery learning. Our facility has a large fully fenced in outdoor play area, equipped with fun and safe play equipment. We strive to provide a balance of learning and fun for all children through various activities such as arts and crafts, structured play, music, song and dance, painting, coloring and many more. We offer structured preschool, Pre K and before and after school programs as well as vacation and summer programs for children ages 2.9 through nine. By providing the best of both worlds, we are able to ensure that each child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
When your little one arrives each day, they will start off with a welcoming routine that helps them ease into the preschool environment. After settling in, they gather with their classmates and teachers for a daily meeting, which serves as a check-in on how everyone is doing. Throughout the day, your child will have ample opportunities to explore different centers and materials, practice their fine and gross motor skills, take breaks for snacks and bathroom trips, and participate in one whole group activity. If it’s nice out, they’ll also get some outdoor time. When the session comes to an end, your preschooler will have a chance to debrief about their day and practice social skills during a dismissal routine. This allows them to have a sense of closure before heading off.
