It's a sight that leaves the crowd laughing their hats off, as a burst of apple juice or a splash of watermelon flies through the air after his powerful swing! The Mini Red Sox play under the watchful eyes of Sox, a mischievous, magical squirrel. Sox, who wears a tiny Red Sox cap, has a knack for making the most boring practice drills hilariously entertaining. Just when you think you've seen it all, Sox might just replace a baseball with an acorn or perform a nutty cha-cha on the pitcher's mound! Nestled in 178 acres of lush woodland is a serene escape from the city, a place fondly known as Camp Swamp. This overnight Christian camp, located just two hours east of bustling Atlanta, has been serving as a peaceful retreat since 1992. We like to think of it as our own "little slice of heaven," offering a respite from the daily hustle and bustle, and inviting people to reconnect with nature and their spirituality. Our primary offering is a week-long summer camp, but we've expanded over the years to include more than just summer fun. As part of our mission to support families and churches, we now also host three family camps throughout the year, as well as four parent/child retreats. These events offer a chance for families to bond, parents to connect with their children, and individuals to grow in their faith. Moreover, our facilities are not exclusive to our organized events. Camp Swamp also offers rentals to schools, churches, universities, sports teams, and even business groups. The Holyoke Youth Baseball League was founded in 1950 by a group of men in Springfield, MA. The league was designed for 8 to 10-year-old children, providing teams with complete uniforms and the best equipment. The league was sponsored by businesses, civic organizations, social clubs, and fraternal organizations. Additionally, each team was to be overseen by an adult supervisor. Since its inception, the Holyoke Youth Baseball League has been providing children in the area the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the game and to develop their skills. The league has been growing steadily over the years and is now open to children from 8 to 18 years of age. The program provides young athletes with the opportunity to not only learn the game, but to have fun and make friends too. The Holyoke Youth Baseball League has been a staple in the community for over 70 years. It provides a safe and fun environment for children to learn and develop their baseball skills. The league is open to children aged 8 to 18 and offers complete uniforms and the best equipment available. Teams are also supervised by adults to ensure everyone plays safely and respectfully.
