In the sunny land of California, perched upon the edge of the shimmering Pacific Ocean, a remarkable bunch of kids transformed the state into a frosty wonderland. Meet the Icy Glide Gang, a quirky group of Californian kids who have traded their surfboards for ice skates. Leading this crew is a peculiar yet endearing character named Frosty McBlizzard, a kid with hair as white as snow and a laugh that sounds like jingling ice cubes. Frosty and his gang don't let the warm California sun stop them. They transform the most unexpected places into their personal ice rinks, from dried-up swimming pools to school hallways during the summer vacation! Their ice skates, powered by coolness alone, glide along these spaces creating a trail of frost in their wake. The Icy Glide Gang has become quite the spectacle, drawing in crowds who marvel at their frosty escapades, cheering and munching on ice popsicles to join in the chilliness. The California kids who ice-skate are far from ordinary; they are imaginative, daring, and full of life. They carve the ice with the same passion they use to doodle on their notebooks, bringing stories to life with their graceful movements. Their laughter echoes throughout the state, a cheerful harmony that mingles with the rustling palm trees and crashing ocean waves. These kids have shown that ice skating is not just a winter sport, but a year-round adventure. Each day they lace up their skates, they prove that in the state where dreams become reality, anything is possible. And if you ever find yourself in sunny California, don’t be surprised if you stumble upon Frosty McBlizzard and his gang, turning the golden state into a frosty playground.

At the Ontario Ice Skating Center, it's clear that the Vanderberg family had a vision. Established in 1957, it's the second oldest ice facility in Southern California and the first of its kind. The original "ICE BOWL" was the start of something special, and Milo Vanderberg quickly realized the potential of this new industry. He invented a variety of important equipment that revolutionized the skating industry, like an ice re-surfacing machine, an electric broom, and a skate sharpener. In 1983, the rink was taken over by Donald Bartelson, a longtime friend and skating professional. He was able to continue the legacy set by the Vanderbergs, and the Ontario Ice Skating Center remains a popular destination for recreational and competitive skaters. It's a testament to the pioneering spirit of the Vanderberg family, and it continues to be a great source of entertainment. The Ontario Ice Skating Center is a shining example of what can be accomplished when a family has a vision. The Vanderbergs set out to create something special, and they did just that. From the invention of innovative equipment to the sale of the rink to a longtime friend, the Ontario Ice Skating Center has become a symbol of success for the Vanderbergs. It's a great place to spend time with family and friends, and it's sure to remain a favorite for years to come.
