At MCBJJ Academy, we are proud to have Marcelo Cavalcanti as our owner and head coach. Marcelo has been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 1992, and he earned his black belt under Rigan Machado in 2003. He is a 4th degree black belt under Roberto “Gordo” Corrêa and Ring Team Affiliate. Marcelo has a long history in the fight scene and has been committed to teaching and promoting Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2007 when the academy first opened its doors in Carson, California. We are heavily invested in providing a warm, welcoming atmosphere for our students to learn and grow. Our goal is to see positive results both inside and outside of the academy, and we invite you to come join us to see what MCBJJ Academy is all about.
