The Wildlife In Need Center (WINC) is committed to making a difference for wildlife and the environment. Dedicated to wildlife rehabilitation and environmental education, WINC rehabilitates injured and orphaned wildlife and releases healthy animals back into their natural habitat. WINC also provides educational programs to area elementary schools and community groups, such as scouts, civic organizations, and senior citizens. Their goal is to foster an understanding and appreciation of Wisconsin wildlife and to provide real-life applications on how to best interact with wildlife. At WINC, wildlife rehabilitation is a top priority. When an injured or orphaned animal is brought into the center, their experienced team of veterinarians and wildlife rehabilitators work hard to get the animal back to health. Once the animal is recovered, they are released back into their natural habitat. WINC doesn’t just focus on wildlife rehabilitation. They also offer educational programs for area elementary schools, scouts, civic organizations, and senior citizens. These programs are designed to raise awareness about Wisconsin wildlife and to provide practical, real-life applications on how humans can best interact with wildlife. Through these programs, WINC hopes to foster an appreciation of wildlife and provide a better understanding of the importance of preserving our natural environment.
