Once upon a time, in the far-off lands of Vermont, a state famous for its maple syrup and snow-capped mountains, live a bunch of extraordinary youngsters. These kids possess a magical ability to transform simple globs of clay into fantastic works of art, right in their ceramics class. They are the Ceramikids of Vermont! These Ceramikids are not ordinary kids. Oh no. They are an adventurous bunch, led by their extraordinary friend, Claybot. Claybot, a super cool imaginary character, is a robot made entirely of ceramics. He possesses the remarkable ability to change his shape according to the whims and fancies of the Ceramikids. One day, he could be a towering castle; the next day, a mischievous monkey or even a flying saucer. Each day in the ceramics class, Claybot and the Ceramikids roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty, spinning the potter’s wheel like wizards spinning tales. With their little hands, they shape and mold the mud, creating beautiful masterpieces that would make Picasso green with envy. There’s a lot of laughter, a fair bit of friendly mess, and tons of creativity flying around in these classes. And, occasionally, when Claybot gets too excited, he'd transform into a giant donut and roll around, causing clay splatters and giggles all around. So, if you ever find yourself in Vermont, don’t you forget to visit these magical artisans. Who knows, the Ceramikids, together with their goofy friend Claybot, might just inspire you to discover your hidden artist and create your ceramics masterpiece.

Nestled in 178 acres of lush woodland is a serene escape from the city, a place fondly known as Camp Swamp. This overnight Christian camp, located just two hours east of bustling Atlanta, has been serving as a peaceful retreat since 1992. We like to think of it as our own "little slice of heaven," offering a respite from the daily hustle and bustle, and inviting people to reconnect with nature and their spirituality. Our primary offering is a week-long summer camp, but we've expanded over the years to include more than just summer fun. As part of our mission to support families and churches, we now also host three family camps throughout the year, as well as four parent/child retreats. These events offer a chance for families to bond, parents to connect with their children, and individuals to grow in their faith. Moreover, our facilities are not exclusive to our organized events. Camp Swamp also offers rentals to schools, churches, universities, sports teams, and even business groups. Whether you're planning a camp, a retreat, or a team-building excursion, our serene setting and well-equipped facilities provide the ideal backdrop for an unforgettable experience.

At Lanakila, we strive to create lasting memories and relationships for our campers and staff. Our rustic setting allows for campers to explore and create lifelong skills, relationships, and memories. We believe in the power of the camp experience and have seen generations of campers and staff come together to form a close-knit community. We invite you to join us in the adventure and magic of Lanakila. Our campers learn the importance of teamwork, leadership, and independence while having fun and making memories. Through our activities and events, we create a safe and nurturing environment where campers build lasting relationships with each other and our experienced staff. We look forward to welcoming you to the Lanakila family!
