Leading the Tumbleweeds is their captain, a clever girl named Sandy who could serve a volleyball with such force that it could outrun a galloping mustang. Her sidekick is a cat named Whiskers who wears a cowboy hat, and although he can't play volleyball himself, he does his part by keeping everyone's spirits soaring high with his wild antics.
