Once upon a time, in the sunny, palm tree-filled land of South Carolina, also known as the "Palmetto State," there dwelt a group of energetic kids who adored something very unique. No, it wasn't gator wrestling, clam digging, or even a marshmallow eating contest. It was Yoga! These kids were known as the 'Stretchy Palmettos.' They weren't your ordinary bunch. These kids could bend, twist, and stretch in ways that would make a twisty turny pretzel green with envy. Now, in the heart of the Stretchy Palmettos was a very special kiddo named Yogi Yamma. He was a cool, imaginary character with kaleidoscope eyes, tree-trunk arms, and a laugh that sounded like dolphins singing. He was as flexible as a cooked spaghetti noodle and could fold himself into a pretzel quicker than you could say "yoga mat." Yogi Yamma and the Stretchy Palmettos were a sight to see. Imagine a gaggle of kids, laughing and stretching beneath the blue Carolina sky, their bodies turning into all sorts of funny shapes. Some would look like upside-down 'U's, others like twisted 'Z's, and Yogi Yamma, well, he just looked like a tangled ball of fun. Every time they gathered, the air filled with laughter, and the spirit of Yoga spread throughout South Carolina like a wildflower in bloom. They made Yoga look so lively and fun that even the grumpy alligators would crawl out from the marshes to watch and sometimes, even join in! South Carolina was not just a place of sunshine and sweet peaches anymore, it was also a place of stretchy, happy kids, spreading the joy of Yoga.

Nestled in 178 acres of lush woodland is a serene escape from the city, a place fondly known as Camp Swamp. This overnight Christian camp, located just two hours east of bustling Atlanta, has been serving as a peaceful retreat since 1992. We like to think of it as our own "little slice of heaven," offering a respite from the daily hustle and bustle, and inviting people to reconnect with nature and their spirituality. Our primary offering is a week-long summer camp, but we've expanded over the years to include more than just summer fun. As part of our mission to support families and churches, we now also host three family camps throughout the year, as well as four parent/child retreats. These events offer a chance for families to bond, parents to connect with their children, and individuals to grow in their faith. Moreover, our facilities are not exclusive to our organized events. Camp Swamp also offers rentals to schools, churches, universities, sports teams, and even business groups. Whether you're planning a camp, a retreat, or a team-building excursion, our serene setting and well-equipped facilities provide the ideal backdrop for an unforgettable experience.
