They would make a giant rainbow mound, dive in, and let their senses explore! They would feel the scratchy bark, the slimy sea stones, and the warm, toasted beach sand. Oh, the laughter that filled the air! Mr. Squeeze would often end up with a pinecone stuck to his head or a starfish hanging from one of his tentacles, making everyone erupt in giggles. Their Sensory Play adventure was always the highlight of their day, and they couldn't wait for tomorrow's sensory exploration. So, kids in Rhode Island aren't just kids. For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
Our Children and Youth Services offer a range of programs to support the healthy development of children before birth through age 25. Our programs focus on enhancing parent-child relationships, teaching evidence-based curriculum, and building a child's skills. One of our key programs is Baby Steps, which provides parents with the tools they need to understand their child’s development. Through Head Start, Parents as Teachers and Healthy Families of America, children are taught the importance of developing healthy lifestyles as they grow and develop. At East Bay Community Action Program, we strive to make life better for everyone in our community. Our Children and Youth Services provide support to children and parents from before birth through age 25. With a range of programs focused on improving the health, social, and educational outcomes of our children, we are committed to creating a better future for our young community members.
