The sandy shores of Newport, where he loved to salute the sun as it rises over the Atlantic. He is famous among the children of Rhode Island, who find inspiration in his flexibility and fun-loving spirit. These Rhode Island kids are anything but ordinary. In fact, they are a lot like Stretchy Rocco, adventurous and full of life. They love to practice their downward dog while laughing and giggling, pretending to be Rocco himself. Or they might try a warrior pose, standing tall and proud like The Independent Man on top of the Rhode Island State House. Their faces light up like the WaterFire festival in Providence when they master a tricky pose, and even when they wobble and fall, they bounce back faster than a Narragansett Bay wave. After all, they've learned from Stretchy Rocco that yoga is more about fun and less about perfection. So, you see, Rhode Island might be small, but it's a place where big dreams come to life!
