"Welcome to the wild and wonderful state of OR, where the mountains don't just kiss the sky, they high-five it! OR, or as it's better known to many, 'Outdoors R-awesome', is a paradise for those who crave adventure and a pinch of craziness. Now, let's turn our attention to a special group of OR kids who have redefined the meaning of hanging out - the Rock Climbers! These brave and bouncy youngsters, led by their fearless and slightly fuzzy leader, Captain Cliffhanger, know the OR mountains like the back of their calloused hands. Captain Cliffhanger, with his rock-solid six-pack (of juice boxes) and crash helmet adorned with a feather from the legendary 'Ticklish Pterodactyl', is a sight to behold on the crag. The Captain and his energetic troop of 'Crack Climbers' spend their days grappling with gravity, hugging humongous boulders, and finding footholds where even the mountain goats fear to tread. They tell tales of the naughty Noodle-Knees Nymph who tries to make their legs wobble when they're on a tough climb, and the mischievous Pebble Pixies that occasionally hide in their climbing shoes. Such is the life of the OR Rock Climbing kids; an exhilarating dance with nature that makes their hearts thump, their palms sweat, and their faces light up like the OR sunrise. And at the end of the day, these daredevil kids wouldn't trade their chalky hands and the taste of victory at the top of a climb, for all the candy in the world...well, maybe for a giant gummy worm, but only on Tuesdays!"

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
