They weren't your average New Yorkers. No, siree! They were the audacious, high-flying, zip lining kings and queens of the Empire State. Dressed in their brightly colored helmets that could be spotted from a satellite in space, fluttering capes, and boots that hadn't been tied quite right, the 'Zip Zap Zumbies' were always ready for their next high-speed escapade. Their favorite haunt was the forests of the Adirondacks. They would spend their days catapulting through the leafy canopy, leaving trails of laughter in the wind as they zipped from tree to tree, like squirrels on a sugar rush. The 'Zip Zap Zumbies' were led by their fearless leader, Whiz Kid Wally. A ten-year-old with freckles scattered across his nose like constellations, Wally had a heart of gold and a laugh that could wake a hibernating bear. His red hair turned fiery under the sun, earning him the nickname, the 'Flaming Comet'. He was the fastest zipliner in all of New York State - maybe even the world! But it wasn't about being the fastest for the 'Zip Zap Zumbies'. It was about being together, sharing giggles and screams, and filling their hearts with the joy of flight. So, if you're ever in New York, listen for the winds carrying their laughter, and look up. You might just spot a 'Zip Zap Zumbie' zipping past.

Give your child the opportunity to learn a unique Olympic sport while building confidence, focus, coordination, discipline, and strategic thinking at ALLE Fencing Club in Fort Lauderdale. ALLE Fencing Club specializes in saber fencing and welcomes students from beginners discovering the sport for the first time to experienced young athletes preparing for regional and national competitions. Youth beginner classes introduce children ages 6–12 to the fundamentals of fencing, including saber handling, footwork, distance control, fencing etiquette, sportsmanship, coordination, focus, and basic rules. Junior programs are available for ages 12+ and help students progress toward competitive fencing. With experienced coaches and a supportive training environment, students develop both physical and mental skills while learning a sport that challenges them to think quickly, move confidently, and make strategic decisions. Advanced and Elite programs provide additional training for experienced fencers interested in tournaments and high-level competition.
