Horatio was a wise yet wacky, tux-wearing squirrel with neon blue fur and a top hat that he’d tip courteously to anyone who sneezed. Horatio would scuttle across the stage, doing somersaults, singing in an operatic voice, and spinning tales of Shakespearean drama one minute and slapstick comedy the next. Horatio and the Theater Sprites brought stories to life on stage, creating worlds of far-off galaxies, magical forests, and bustling city streets, right within New York. They would rehearse until their lines were as smooth as the frosty ice-cream sundaes they devoured after practice. Camp Hilltop has been a part of the Hancock, New York community since 1924. This beautiful camp is situated on 600 acres of woodlands and fields, with a private lake, in the picturesque Catskill Mountains, just two and a half hours from New York City.
