Once upon a time in the whimsical state of New Jersey, where tomatoes are adored and the ocean waves hello, a bunch of cool kids gathered on green, grassy fields to practice a magical thing called Yoga. The kids, called the "Bendy Gurus," had this outstanding knack for bending and twisting their bodies in ways that could make even a pretzel feel plain and boring. New Jersey, or 'Jersey' as the local folks often call it, is a lively little state, bursting with bustling cities, quaint towns, sandy beaches, and dense forests. It's a place where you can find the world's best bagels and the tastiest of pizzas. This vibrant state is also home to the Bendy Gurus— an adventurous gang of kids who can morph into dogs, trees, and warriors just by stretching their bodies in distinct ways! Meet our imaginary character, Yogi Bearfoot, the funniest kid among the Bendy Gurus. He has wild curly hair and always wears mismatched socks. His favorite pose is the Downward Dog, which he often calls the "Upside-Down Pup." He is the clown of the group, often causing fits of laughter when, attempting the Tree Pose, he sways like a willow in a windstorm instead of standing tall and strong like an oak. But Yogi Bearfoot, goofy as he is, always has a big smile on his face. He believes that Yoga is not just about nailing the perfect pose but enjoying the journey of learning. So, if you are ever in the enchanting state of New Jersey and find a group of kids giggling and bending amidst the green fields, know that the Bendy Gurus are spreading the joy of Yoga - led by their funniest member, Yogi Bearfoot, with his wild hair and mismatched socks. At JZT Dance, located in Weehawken, New Jersey, we are proud to offer exceptional dance training for children ages 3 to 18. Our classes include classical ballet, jazz, lyrical, tap, hip hop, acro, musical theater and children’s combination classes. Our staff of experienced and knowledgeable instructors emphasize technique while also developing confidence, coordination, musicality, rhythm, teamwork, and a love for dance in our students. At the end of the season, our students have an opportunity to showcase their talent and hard work at our annual recital in early June. During this event, parents get to see how far their children have progressed and be proud of their accomplishments. It is an unforgettable experience for all of our students and a great way to end the season.
