But what makes it even more magical are the giggling troves of Brainy Bunch, each armed with their favorite tool – be it a microscope, a paintbrush, or a robot they've built from scratch! Our very own Brainy Bunch are not ordinary kids. They are super kids! They can unravel the mysteries of the universe, decode the language of computers, build towering structures, create enchanting melodies and paint their dreams into reality – all before they sit down for lunch! Our fearless friend, Bucky the Beaver, is their guide. Bucky, with his magnetic personality, and an infectious laugh that sounds like water splashing against the river rocks, wears a shiny lab coat adorned with all sorts of peculiar gadgets, all as colorful as his personality! In the heart of New Jersey, the Brainy Bunch, led by Bucky, turn ordinary days into extraordinary explorations. They dive into the ocean’s depths to converse with curious creatures, climb mountains to chat with chirpy birds, delve into dark caves to investigate hidden treasures, and even travel to the mysterious realms of outer space! Nestled in 178 acres of lush woodland is a serene escape from the city, a place fondly known as Camp Swamp. This overnight Christian camp, located just two hours east of bustling Atlanta, has been serving as a peaceful retreat since 1992. We like to think of it as our own "little slice of heaven," offering a respite from the daily hustle and bustle, and inviting people to reconnect with nature and their spirituality. Our primary offering is a week-long summer camp, but we've expanded over the years to include more than just summer fun. As part of our mission to support families and churches, we now also host three family camps throughout the year, as well as four parent/child retreats. These events offer a chance for families to bond, parents to connect with their children, and individuals to grow in their faith. Moreover, our facilities are not exclusive to our organized events. Camp Swamp also offers rentals to schools, churches, universities, sports teams, and even business groups. Whether you're planning a camp, a retreat, or a team-building excursion, our serene setting and well-equipped facilities provide the ideal backdrop for an unforgettable experience.
Parents Magazine is proud to present a beautiful day camp nestled on over 60 wooded acres in northern New Jersey. Our programming is designed by camp professionals who believe that campers can thrive in a structured environment with confident and engaging staff. The camp opens weekday mornings in late June and runs through mid August. Campers will arrive by bus at 9 a.m. and be immersed in a full schedule of activities, including swimming, athletics, arts and crafts, and specialty activities. The day doesn't end until 4 p.m., when campers are safely bused back home, tired and happy. We at Parents Magazine highly recommend this camp for providing an enriching experience for children. With the right environment and guidance, campers can truly flourish and have the best summer ever.
