Our fearless friend, Bucky the Beaver, is their guide. Bucky, with his magnetic personality, and an infectious laugh that sounds like water splashing against the river rocks, wears a shiny lab coat adorned with all sorts of peculiar gadgets, all as colorful as his personality! They dive into the ocean’s depths to converse with curious creatures, climb mountains to chat with chirpy birds, delve into dark caves to investigate hidden treasures, and even travel to the mysterious realms of outer space! Dori Roberts is an experienced educator of 11 years, with a strong background in technology and math. As a teacher and mother, Roberts has first-hand experience of the need for engineering, science, and math programs in schools. This inspired her to create an after-school club, which gathered 180 students and achieved multiple state championships. Encouraged by the success of the program, Roberts began adapting her program for a broader age demographic. She started the first Engineering For Kids programs at a local elementary school, where it was received with great enthusiasm. This ultimately led her to leave teaching and focus her time and energy on developing Engineering For Kids.
