Her unique experiences in music and culture from four different continents bring a special touch to her teaching. Oksana has been giving private lessons out of her home studio for the past decade. She also teaches at public and private schools in the United States while still playing in symphonies, orchestras and chamber groups. Her dedication and passion for music is evident in her solo performances as well. Oksana McCarthy is an amazing cellist in Charlotte, NC. She has been able to bring her unique knowledge from around the world to her teaching, making her lessons an enriching experience. That’s why we’ve been providing quality, all-volunteer sports programs for young athletes since 1980. Our humble beginnings as a small-town, single-sport league have grown into a multi-sport professional athletic organization offering Soccer, Baseball, Softball, Basketball, and Flag Football for kids ages 3-18. We serve families from Union County, South Charlotte, and even South Carolina. WAA is committed to providing an inclusive, safe, and encouraging environment for young athletes and their families. Our all-volunteer, non-profit organization is dedicated to helping children develop their physical and social skills through sports. We’ve grown from a single-sport league to a professional athletic organization offering five sports for kids ages 3-18 in Union County, South Charlotte, and even in South Carolina.
