It's a giant, goofy-looking owl named Owlbert Einstein, who’s known to be a real ‘wise-quacker!’ Meet Li'l Lily, the smallest of the lot, but with a voice that could shake the stars out of the sky. She once rooted so hard for her team at a cheerleading competition, three judges thought there was an earthquake! Then there's Jumpin' Jack, who can leap so high he has to be careful not to knock satellites out of orbit! And let’s not forget Twistin' Tina, who can spin so fast, she often causes mini tornadoes and leaves the audience in a whirl! The Tar Heel Tumblers make cheerleading in North Carolina more than just a sport. It's a thrilling spectacle, a rollercoaster of fun and excitement. When they chant, cheer, and tumble, they bring the whole state together, proving that in North Carolina, spirit and laughter tumble hand in hand. No wonder the squirrels there are always so hyper! Marla Roberson is a remarkable dance teacher and director with an impressive resume. She has been involved in dance since the age of four, and has performed on the stage at Disney World, as well as choreographing dance troupes that have won high honors. With over 17 years of experience, Marla has studied at a variety of dance schools throughout the Southeast Coast, mastering techniques in jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, clogging, and hip hop. In 2013, Marla took the plunge and became the owner/director of Just for Kicks, Inc. in Hampstead. Prior to this, she had taught for 5,6,7,8 Dance in Wilmington, NC, Happy Feet Dance in San Pedro, CA, and Just for Kicks, Inc. in Hampstead. As an incredibly accomplished dancer, teacher and director, Marla Roberson has been inspiring her students for years. She has dedicated her life to the art of dance and is eager to continue sharing her knowledge and passion with others.
