Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. Hidden Valley Camp has been a beloved part of family life since 1948. Located in a beautiful and tranquil 350-acre site near the Maine coast, this acclaimed international summer camp offers children and teens, ages 8 to 14, the very best in both arts and outdoor activities. You can choose your own focus, whether you're after art camp, horse camp, dance camp, water camp, farm camp, adventure camp, performing arts camp, or sports camp – or any combination of these great areas. Each day, campers will benefit from four one-hour periods of class instruction, enabling them to create, explore and set goals in any of the programs. Parents and campers can even let us know their wishes prior to the summer and we'll help design a tailored camp experience. At our facility, we strive to promote a lifelong appreciation and passion for physical activity and sport. Our team is USA Gymnastics safety certified, and all staff members are First Aid and CPR certified. Our senior staff have extensive gymnastics accreditation and coaching experience, and our junior staff are trained to the highest standard under the guidance of the senior team. We offer a unique fitness-based Nursery School, Pre-K and After School Program, as well as classes in tumbling and gymnastics. We also provide day camps during school vacations and summer day camps. Dr. George Alexander Kohut, a literary scholar and educator with a vision to provide a healthy and character-building outdoor experience, founded Kamp Kohut in 1907. Coming from the heat and pollution of the city, he ran a boys' school in New York, hence calling it "Kohut's School for Boys".
