In the magical land of Massachusetts, a place fondly known as "MA" by the locals, a unique tribe of kids known as the "Paint-splatter Pipsqueaks" live, breathe, and dream art. They are a fun-loving bunch, who, instead of building snowmen, paint murals on the snow using food color! And when it's not snowing, they chase rainbows across the sky, trying to capture all the colors for their next masterpiece. They are led by their zany, paint-splattered leader, Brushy Bob. Brushy Bob is no ordinary kid. He has an imaginary pet, a rainbow-striped squirrel named Squiggles. Squiggles has a magical bushy tail that can turn into any kind of paintbrush. With a flick of his tail, he can splash colors of joy on any canvas, or even the giant pumpkins that grow in the local farms. These kids don't just play with their paints; they dive headfirst into them. Literally! They are often found covered from head to toe in splotches of paint, looking like walking rainbows themselves. Do you know how kittens look after they've dived into a pile of yarn? That’s what our Paint-splatter Pipsqueaks look like after a day of painting. Family Day Care Program, Inc. is proud to offer Massachusetts families quality early childhood education and care that meets the state's high standards. Our program is funded primarily by contracts with the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care, and we are certified by the Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office (SDO) as a minority not-for-profit organization (M/NPO). We also receive funding from Boston Public Schools and local child care resource and referral agencies. In addition to providing licensed in-home early childhood education and care, we also offer related support services for infants, toddlers, and pre-school age children. Our caregivers are able to work regular working and school hour schedules, as well as non-traditional hours of care, including weekends. We also ensure our Licensed Affiliated Educators have the opportunity to attend early education workshops, seminars and college classes to obtain accreditation, credentials and college degrees in early childhood education. Having a smaller home-based program allows me to offer individualized programming to each child in a safe and secure setting. I make sure to tailor my instruction to each child’s unique needs and abilities. We follow a daily routine that includes circle time, lessons, activities, and motor skills development, while still allowing for plenty of playtime and exploration. This kind of individualized attention allows the children to gain independence and develop their skills at their own pace. It's a joy to watch the children grow and thrive in this setting.
