The Franklin Arts Center is a unique mixed-use facility that provides a home and workspace for artists and their families. This innovative center features 25 live/work apartments, 37,775 square feet of artist studios and space for arts organizations and creative businesses, and 36,247 square feet of community space with two gymnasiums and an auditorium. All of this is managed by the School District, making it easy for the local community to access the resources the Franklin Arts Center offers. The Franklin Arts Center was opened in late 2008, joining Artspace's portfolio as its sixth live/work project in Minnesota. This project has been a great success since then, offering a supportive and creative space for artists and their families to live and work. For the local community, the Franklin Arts Center provides a great resource for learning, practicing, and enjoying the arts. At the Franklin Arts Center, artists and their families can find a safe, secure, and inspiring space to pursue their creative endeavors.
