As wobbly as a jelly on land, Captain Frosty Toes becomes as graceful as a swan the moment he steps on ice. The kids of MA love him dearly, for he is not just a mentor but a jolly playmate who knows the best ice skating tricks and the funniest ice jokes. "Why don't mountains get cold in winter?" he'd ask with a twinkle in his eyes. Before any kid could answer, he'd burst into laughter saying "Because they wear snow caps!" Parents, the Canton Ice House is the perfect place to bring your family for some fun! It opened in September of 2016 and provides two NHL-sized rinks, a café upstairs that overlooks both rinks, a pro-shop, and two golf simulators. It’s a great place to get ice time, whether you want to play hockey, figure skate, or just go for a public skate. There are a number of local high school teams, an elite private club program, and a premier figure skating club that use the Ice House for practice and competition. The Ice House also provides a number of weekly leagues for youth, high school, women’s and men’s hockey teams, and holds large regional hockey and figure skating tournaments throughout the year. With over 750,000 visitors every year, the Canton Ice House is a great place to get your family out of the house and into the ice!
