About Empow Studios - Cambridge CMS STEM Summer Camp

Today, parents can help their children develop a passion for STEM—science, technology, engineering, and mathematics— education through Empow Studios. By providing a stimulating environment with interactive, hands-on learning activities, kids can build a solid foundation in the field of STEM. Engagement and play are the keys to unlocking a world of opportunity and developing a love of learning. At Empow, we believe that the best way to foster a lifelong interest in STEM is to make learning an enjoyable experience. With interactive digital, virtual, and robotic activities, playtime can be transformed into an opportunity to explore potential futures. Our goal is to provide kids with the resources to not only navigate their future, but to become active and intentional creators.

Tech & Design Path
Become a YouTuber in this fun new camp! Campers will start by learning to draft storyboard ideas for projects such as how-to-videos, fashion videos, vlogs, video game walkthroughs, and more. Campers will get to record the video they plan and then learn editing techniques to complete their final video. Please note that this camp does not include creating a YouTube channel for each camper. For privacy purposes, we recommend that families create their own channel outside of camp if they choose to do so.

VACATION CAMP
Explore our most popular program, Tech & Design Exploratory, at our February and April Vacation Camps. It’s for kids who want to explore a wide range of fun technology, find out what options are available, and begin to realize their areas of greatest passion. Campers will have a wide range of options to check out, including Video Game Design, Digital Animation, Stop-Motion Animation, 3D Art & Printing, 3D Architecture, and Coding/Programming Fundamentals. Campers are encouraged to dive into several options over the first few days and then dig deeper in areas that excite them, or continue to explore the wide range of tech choices.

ONE-DAY HOLIDAY CAMP
Explore our most popular program, Tech & Design Exploratory, at our One-Day Holiday Camp. It’s for kids with a day off from school who want to explore a wide range of fun technology, find out what options are available, and begin to realize their areas of greatest passion. Holiday campers will have a wide range of options to check out, including Video Game Design, Digital Animation, Stop-Motion Animation, 3D Art & Printing, 3D Architecture, and Coding/Programming Fundamentals. Campers are encouraged to dive into several options and then dig deeper into areas that excite and inspire them. The goal by day’s end is for each camper to have a completed project to show off to friends and family!
