Every morning at the crack of dawn, right as the sun begins to play peek-a-boo with the mountains, the dojo doors swing open and in tumble the Karate Cuties. Leading the pack is our hero, the Karate Kangaroo, Kiko. Kiko, with his marsupial moves and black belt in belly laughs, is the heart and soul of the Mighty-Mass dojo. He hops around in his red bandana, teaching the kids the art of the ‘Kangaroo Kick’ and the secret of the ‘Pouch Punch’. With Kiko, every karate lesson is a belly-busting adventure. You'll find the Karate Cuties rolling on the floor, not from Kiko's kicks, but from fits of laughter. But don't let those giggles fool you. When it’s time to get serious, these kids transform into mini karate masters, their faces focused, their moves swift and precise. With Kiko cheering on, they break boards and the stereotype that karate is just about fighting. For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
To that end, they have created the Master Academy to provide a platform for the sharing of this knowledge. The Master Academy is a dedicated space for all martial arts masters and teachers to come together and share their philosophy, methods, theories and teaching experiences. This is a great opportunity for all masters and teachers to learn from each other, share ideas and techniques, and to help promote martial arts in general. The American Martial Arts Association is proud to create this platform to bring together the martial arts community and to help foster a culture of growth, collaboration and learning.
At Brockton Uechi-ryu Karate Academy, we know that parents want the best for their children.
