But what makes IL truly special is its little heroes who are masters of a game known as softball. Now, let me introduce you to a cool, imaginary character named Super Swifty Squirrel. This unusually sporty squirrel is known for his lightning-fast footwork, quick reflexes, and, of course, his love for acorns. Whenever he's not busy collecting acorns, he oversees the softball games at IL, making sure the kids have the most fun while playing. As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, the WGSL Softball Program relies heavily on donations and sponsorships to keep the program running. Our dedicated volunteers, Board of Directors, Division Representatives, and coaches work tirelessly year round to provide an enjoyable experience for all. They put a lot of energy into creating a game schedule that runs from May through the end of June, scheduling games with the Northern Illinois Softball Association.
