Football was Billy's passion, his dream, his life. He could turn any situation into a game of football. Even when eating spaghetti, he would always try to throw the meatballs into his mouth, imagining they were footballs and his mouth was the endzone. Every day, Billy and his dynamic team of Inchworms would charge onto the field, their hearts pounding with excitement, their eyes sparkling with determination. The football games in Illinois were not just games, they were legendary battles, filled with laughter, friendships, and the sweet taste of victory. Oh, how Illinois loved their football, and oh, how they loved their Boisterous Billy!

That is why we've ensured that our facilities include a separate waiting area for parents, offering a space for you to relax while your child is busy exploring their creativity. For added convenience, there are also two restrooms on the premises and a picturesque outdoor sitting area where you can soak up the serene surroundings.
In 1957, Jim Clarkson founded the Northfield Park District with a mission to meet the recreational needs of the community. Mr. Clarkson, who was also teaching Physical Education at Sunset Ridge School, began his park district work as a part-time proposition. Today, the Park District continues to serve the residents of Northfield, supervising the usage and maintenance of park resources and providing a variety of facilities, programs, and activities. Whether it's a game of pickup basketball or a nature walk in the woods, the Park District is dedicated to helping residents of all ages make the most of their leisure time.
