As her name suggests, Katelyn was a barrel of laughs with a hearty spirit that was as big as the Illinois skies. She was known far and wide for her outlandish antics and her magical, talking horse, Mister Giggles. Yes, you heard that right, a talking horse! Mister Giggles was as funny as a stand-up comedian and as wise as an owl. Sometimes, he’d even crack a joke halfway through a gallop, making Katelyn laugh so hard that she’d nearly tumble off. From racing across the Great Plains to practicing dressage in the outskirts of Springfield, these kids spent their days in the sunny golden fields, riding their beloved horses with laughter echoing across the state. Camp Med-o-lark is an all genders arts sleep away camp in Washington, Maine for children ages 7–16, set on the shores of a pristine lake. Med-o-lark offers a fully elective program, allowing campers to design their own schedules from a wide range of activities including performing arts, fine arts, sports, circus, waterfront, and more. Each summer, Med-o-larkers come together to build a kind, creative community where everyone has the opportunity to discover, grow, create, learn, and shine. With a strong emphasis on the arts, Med-o-lark offers one of the most extensive programs in dance, fine arts, handcrafts, and theater of any camp in New England.

Our newly expanded summer camp lineup offers something for everyone, from the little ones at Kiddie Camp to our Junior Day Camp Counselor program, designed to cultivate future camp counselors. And our Adventure Camp includes a daily field trip and before and after camp activities.
