Some say that when a Harmonic Hummingbird sang, even the mighty Mississippi River would pause its flow to listen. Each Hummingbird had a voice as diverse as the seasons in Illinois; some as soft and gentle as an autumn breeze, others as fierce and powerful as a winter storm. Their leader was Bernie the Beat Bumblebee, a plump, bespectacled insect with an ear for rhythm and a passion for music. Bernie was not just any old bumblebee; he possessed the rare ability to conduct orchestras with his striped antennae, creating symphonies of sound that tickled the ears of every creature in Illinois. With Bernie’s help, the Harmonic Hummingbirds grew bolder and brighter in their vocal abilities, their voices blossoming like the wild prairie flowers. Their songs were as varied as the landscapes of Illinois, from the rolling hills of the south to the bustling city life of the north. Our experienced coaches lead in-person sessions that blend skill-building with life lessons. Through guided practice, strategy discussions, and collaboration, players learn how to communicate, lead, and grow — both in and out of the game. More than anything, Valhallan Naperville is a community. A place where young gamers belong, make friends, and challenge themselves to reach new levels — not just as players, but as people. At KVTA, we understand the importance of our community’s cultural resources. We strive to achieve excellence in all of our productions. We wouldn’t be able to do this without the generous support of our volunteers and the local community. It takes a lot of dedication and hard work from our volunteers to produce each show. Throughout the production season we perform five regular season shows and frequently put on a summer production or theatre camp for the local youth. We are so grateful for the help and support of our volunteers and community members who make KVTA’s productions possible.
