Once upon a time in the sunny state of Florida, where palm trees sway and dolphins play, a group of extraordinary kids embarked on a fantastically frosty adventure. These weren't your typical Florida kids who surfed at the beach or hunted for alligators. Nope, these brave boys and girls were the "Icy Incredibles," the coolest crew of ice skaters this side of the equator!

Now, you might be wondering, "Ice skating in Florida? Isn't it a bit too...warm?" Ah, but that's the magic of it! Just like how a chameleon can change its color, these kids could change their environment with a swish of their skates and a twirl of their tutus, transforming the sun-drenched pavements into a shimmering ice rink. 

Leading the Icy Incredibles was their fearless friend, Frosty Flamingo. He wasn't your average flamingo, oh no. He was a bird of icy feathers, who swapped the swamp for the skate rink, stood on one leg, and wowed the crowd with his frosty flips and chilly spins. 

The Icy Incredibles, along with Frosty Flamingo, were the talk of the town. Their ice skating adventures were as outlandish as a snowstorm in the Sahara, but that's what made them so special. The heat of Florida wasn't a hindrance but a challenge, a challenge they met with a wink, a smile, and a spectacular pirouette. 

So, whether you're in the sizzling South or the freezing North, remember the Icy Incredibles and their frosty flamingo friend. They'll show you that with imagination, dedication, and a pair of ice skates, any place can become a winter wonderland.

Hertz Arena has come a long way since its opening in 1998. At our 40,000 square-foot ice skating and entertainment facility, located in the heart of Pompano Beach, Florida, we provide an extensive variety of skating programs and activities for over 2 million people within a 25-mile radius. Conveniently located just 5 minutes away from Boca Raton and 20 minutes from Ft. Lauderdale, our full-service arena is capable of hosting up to 880 people. Our recently updated 185 ft x 80 ft ice rink, alongside a studio-sized rink (84.5ft x 50ft), arena seating with a capacity of 200, and a climate-controlled lobby with a capacity of 300, allows us to welcome over 300,000 visitors per year through regular programming and special events.

At RDV Ice Den, everyone can cool off and have fun! Our facility boasts two rinks of ice skating fun, one NHL-sized and one Olympic-sized. With a wide range of programming activities, including hockey, figure skating, and daily public skating, there's something for everyone.

Families can take advantage of our Learn to Play Hockey classes, leagues for all ages, and youth hockey camps. We also offer Learn to Skate classes, freestyle sessions, competitions and shows. Morihei Ueshiba was a master martial artist and a devout follower of the Omoto Kyo Religion. He was born in Western Japan in 1883 and passed away in 1969. Ueshiba had an exceptional level of spiritual awareness and studied several classical styles of Enjin Shin Yo-Ryu Jujutsu, Goto-Ha YagyuShingan-Ryu, and Daito-Ryu Jujutsu. His passion for self-defense inspired him to create Aikido, an art that maximizes protection with minimal force.

Aikido training consists of two partners practicing pre-arranged forms. The receiver initiates an attack and the person applying the technique, the tori or shite, neutralizes the attack using an aikido technique. This technique is based on the idea that the least amount of force is used to protect oneself. Aikido is a martial art where one can achieve maximum defense with minimal effort.

TGH Ice Plex (formerly Ice Sports Forum) has been a top-notch skating and hockey facility since 1997. They offer figure skating and hockey instruction and leagues for both youth and adults of all skill levels.
