From designing superhero capes out of old t-shirts to making sandcastles that can withstand the highest tides, there’s no creative challenge too big for these Floridian craft masters. Parents, we have the wonderful opportunity to introduce our kids to the Camp Bayou Outdoor Learning Center, a project of the 501(c)3 non-profit, Bayou Outdoor Learning and Discovery, Inc. This incredible facility is operated entirely by volunteers and funded through programs and the generosity of local supporters. It is a partnership between BOLD and Hillsborough County Conservation and Environmental Lands Management, and it is open to all who are interested in exploring the natural world. Through hands-on learning, our children can gain a better understanding of our environment and its importance to our lives. With the help of Camp Bayou, they can develop a greater appreciation for the wonders of nature and the importance of preserving it.
