Welcome to the sunny, adventure-filled land of Florida, where the beaches are beautiful, the oranges are juicy, and the alligators are... well, they're pretty much everywhere. But among all these wonders, there's a special group of kids who are sharper than a seagull's beak and quicker than a dolphin's flipper. They are Florida's karate kids! Now, these aren't just any ordinary kids, oh no! They've got moves that could make a flamingo stop standing on one leg and start applauding. And their karate chops are so swift that even the fastest roller coaster at Disney World would feel slow in comparison! Every karate class is an explosion of action, more exciting than a ride on the space shuttle at Kennedy Space Center. Our story's hero is a cool, crazy character known as "Captain Karate Gator," who's as hilarious as he is tough. With his orange and green karate belt (he couldn't decide which color he preferred), and his signature 'gator grin, he's always ready to lead the karate kids into action. He can make a training session feel like a wild romp through the Everglades, filled with laughter, learning, and lots of fun. And just a little secret between us? Captain Karate Gator loves his oranges, but he's afraid of squirrels. Seriously, he can face a panel of black-belt judges without a sweat, but sees a squirrel and hightails it to the nearest swamp. But don't tell anyone, he's a bit sensitive about it. So, come join Captain Karate Gator and his squad of fearless Florida karate kids. In this land of sun, surf, and spinning kicks, every day is a new adventure!

This martial art was founded by Grandmaster Hwang Kee on November 9, 1945. Soo Bahk Do (Hand Strike Way) translates as “Hand Strike Way” and signifies the technical side of the martial art. Moo Duk Kwan (Martial Virtue School) translates as “Martial Virtue (or Honor) School” and signifies the style or philosophy that is studied. It is a well-rounded, self-defense martial art that promotes values such as discipline, respect, confidence, flexibility, and courage. At Viera Soo Bahk Do, we strive to teach the fundamentals of Soo Bahk Do in an atmosphere of professionalism and respect. Our classes are designed to provide a comprehensive martial arts program that focuses on three main areas of training: External (technique), Internal (proper breathing, tension & relaxation), and Spiritual (strong intent and confidence). We believe that learning the art of Soo Bahk Do can lead to a better understanding of oneself, and to a more fulfilling and successful life.
