Every day, as the sun peeks over the treetops, these kids jump out of bed, gobble down a breakfast of cereal and the state's famous maple syrup, then scurry off to the gym, their laughter echoing through the maple-lined streets of Connecticut. They train hard, pushing their bodies to do extraordinary things, like tiptoeing on balance beams as thin as a piece of lasagna and launching themselves into the air with all the grace of a flying squirrel on a windy day.
