They're not just on the move; they’re on a mission. A mission to explore, create, and innovate in the bold, vibrant world of STEM/STEAM. One of the most famous among them is a quirky little dude named 'Nerdtron.' Armed with a flashing multi-tool pocket protector and sporting funky neon-glowing glasses, Nerdtron has a contagious zest for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. He could build a robot out of forgotten beach toys, discover a new constellation in the star-studded Californian sky, or calculate the speed of a hummingbird's wings in a nanosecond. But here's the secret sauce. Nerdtron and the Techie Tots don't just do STEM/STEAM, they live it! They see a sandbox, and they think, "mini Mars landscape!" DEBUT Creative Center & Theater-Studio is a dual-language (English–Russian) program where kids explore creativity, confidence, and self-expression. From theater and dance to fencing and stage performance, children can try new activities and discover their unique talents. Small class sizes let instructors give each child personalized attention, helping them feel comfortable, supported, and confident as they learn. Kids build artistic skills while also developing social confidence, teamwork, and poise on stage and in everyday life. Our programs celebrate each child’s individuality, combining fun, hands-on experiences with a focus on personal growth—all while keeping Russian language and culture an important part of the curriculum.
For the past few years, the Board of Directors of Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles (BGCMLA) and Boys & Girls Clubs of Venice (BGCV) have been collaborating to merge two of LA's most tenured Boys & Girls Clubs. In late 2022, the Boards approved the plan and the organizations merged into one entity. The merger of BGCMLA & BGCV will create a platform to scale impact and enable us to serve more youth and families across Metro Los Angeles. By merging our organizations, we aim to strengthen our infrastructure, increase strategic partnerships, create consistent programming across all sites and better leverage fundraising and advocacy resources.
