In the bustling golden state of California, where surfers ride the Pacific waves and giant redwoods stretch into the sky, there's an army of pint-sized warriors. No, they aren't superheroes or extraterrestrials, but the fantastic, energetic, and sometimes hilariously awkward California kiddos who play volleyball! Their leader, a hysterically enthusiastic volleyball named Volly Val, leads the charge. Volly Val isn't your ordinary volleyball; she's a sun-tanned, high bouncing ball with a wicked sense of humor and a knack for rolling into the most peculiar places (like the time she ended up in a popcorn tub at a movie theater). She spins wild tales about the volleyball exploits of her loyal troop, the California Volley-Kids. These Volley-Kids have a zest for life as bright as California sunshine. They're daring, tackling those high-flying volleyballs with as much spunk and courage as a Hollywood stunt double. They're quick, zipping across the sandy beach courts like roadrunners in a desert chase. But most of all, they're full of giggles, turning every missed shot or tumble in the sand into a laughing matter. Whether they're practicing overhand serves under the shade of the palm trees, or organizing a chaotic match amidst the chaos of a family barbecue, these kids embody the joyful spirit of California volleyball. Through the hilarious guidance of Volly Val, these volley enthusiasts are learning not just to play the game, but to embrace the sunshine-filled, laughter-packed, adventurous California lifestyle. These Volley-Kids truly are the little, net-hopping champions of the Golden State.

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
