In fact, it’s said that these Californian kids are taught to play 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' on the guitar before they even learn how to tie their shoelaces! Among these musically gifted kiddos is our hero, Tuba Timmy, a ten-year-old boy with curly hair, freckles, and a passion for playing the tuba bigger than the Grand Canyon. He's the coolest cat in California. How cool, you ask? Well, the word on the street is that he once played a note so low on his tuba that it shook the famous Hollywood sign! Whenever Timmy plays his shiny, larger-than-life tuba, it's like the whole of California is dancing to his tunes. The palm trees sway, the Pacific waves crash on the beaches in rhythm, and even the stars seem to twinkle a little brighter. Because in California, it doesn't matter whether you’re a wave-surfing seagull or a tuba-playing tyke, everyone’s got a part to play in this symphony of sun, sand, and sounds!

Our teaching team is comprised of highly experienced and dedicated instructors with degrees from prestigious institutions like Julliard, Yale, Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media (Germany), Royal Conservatoire The Hague (Netherlands), as well as universities in Japan, Malaysia and Indonesia. We offer lessons in classical & jazz piano, songwriting, all string instruments, guitar & bass, voice (all styles), saxophone, flute, and music theory. Our instructors are committed to providing the right musical and personal connection with every student. We can accommodate students who speak German, Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese and Malay. New World Music Academy is an institutional member of MTNA (Music Teacher’s National Association – US), so our instructors are affiliated with MTAC (Music Teacher’s Association of California – California), ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music – UK) and the RCM (Royal College of Music – Canada). This allows our instructors to prepare their students to excel in annual external testing programs sponsored by these respected organizations.
