With one foot firmly planted on their colorful kayaks, the Kaya-kids would pull on their neon life-vests, slap on their sunblock, adjust their superhero-inspired goggles, and burst into a chorus of laughter before pushing off into the water. Camp Butano Creek, owned and operated by the Girl Scouts of Northern California, is the perfect spot for budding adventurers. Girls entering grades 4-12 in the fall are invited to join us for a summer filled with self-discovery and nature exploration. From the Pacific coastline to the coastal mountains, there are plenty of exciting activities to choose from, such as: surfing, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, horseback riding and field archery. Plus, campers in their 11th grade have the chance to take part in our Counselor-In-Training program.
