They scramble up the ropes, swing on the vines, and zip through the air, whooping with joy, their laughter echoing off the Golden Gate Bridge! Despite the occasional rope burn and scraped knee, the spirit of these brave hearts never wavers. They take each stumble in their stride, each fall with a roll, and each challenge with a toothy grin. The Laurel Foundation offers a variety of programs to help meet the physical and emotional needs of children, youth and families affected by HIV/AIDS, transgender and gender diverse youth. These programs include educational and support services such as mentorship, housing assistance, counseling, and career development. In addition, the foundation provides recreational activities and other resources to help empower these children and youth.
